Idaho Cougar Hunt Success
« on: April 03, 2024, 05:59:41 PM »
This was a dream hunt for me. I’ve  always loved watching dogs work and finally got a chance to be there when they pushed a big Tom up a tree but he wouldn’t stay there!!! This hunt got a little western and one I won’t soon forget.

Awesome job! Definitely the hunt of a lifetime that is on many peoples bucket list! What unit did you guys hunt in?
If you shoot the first one you will never get that true trophy.

Send me a message and we can talk. Out of respect for the outfitters and residents I try not to mention units.

Dirk is a great story teller  ;)
We bumped the pack packing the cat up the hill and he was right below us. We yelled “pack” and he watched it roll by. LoL

Always makes for a great hunt when you’ve got a storyteller in camp :chuckle:

Nice cat and tough country.  I've treed a couple in that type of country, but it always had deeper snow.  Great shot of the cat on the rock!  Really brings back a lot of great memories.  Congrats!!
