Cool bear, Dana!
Congrats!

Think of how fun it would have been to take with a 450 Bushmaster.    8)

Thank you, all!

Without risking giving away any of Bango's methods or spots, I'll say that we have been trying to coordinate our calendars for a few seasons and it finally was able to happen. He was very generous with his time and was accepting that I had a short window to hunt with him, and that I wanted to hunt in short range with a particular weapon. We did things his way and I very much enjoyed hunting bears with him, in an area I had never been in, doing it in a way I'd never done before, and eating wild berries the whole time.

Awesome! Glad you could get it done. We saw 1 good bear each day for the first three days. Two black and the biggest was cinnamon. Couldn’t close the deal and am now back to work so hopefully I can find some time this coming weekend and next week to get back out there.

If anyone is wanting more photos of 2025 bears then take a look at the "Washington Bear Hunting" facebook group. A lot of bears being posted the last couple days.
