Great looking trucks guys! I will be holding on to my 06 LBZ but started looking today at what will probably be my last new truck. Drove a 2026 GMC Sierra Elevation 31X (basically offroad pkg). Very nice truck, great ride, WAY TOO MUCH TECH for me, but was informative. Will look for the AT4 most likely as I want a bit more height for pulling the boat and tailers. I have yet to determine if the diesel or 5.3 will be the choice. It is stupid how expensive vehicles have become.

It is stupid how expensive they have become. But I guess I get it, they are no longer just a truck, but a luxury vehicle too.
On that note, another stupid thing on my 24 GMC is they used some kind of thick cloth-ish material to line inside the fender wells. Just acts as a mud sponge for the tires, and pretty much have to empty the Wenatchee river thru my garden hose to get em clean. positive some larch needles will never leave.

Those liners do help with noise. You can take them out though. But I would undercoat the fender wells if I did that. I havent had mine in the mud yet but they got pretty caked with fir needles and I was able to spray them out pretty easy. If they do cause issues, I may try getting them clean and dry and just undercoat the whole fender liner.

Figured I save 6 to 7 grand going to Idaho. Every where else was MSRP or a grand below.
Most trucks at a couple lots I looked at in Idaho were 6 or 7 grand below MSRP. Looked like the GMC Denalis were running a couple grand more than the LTZ. But would compare closely to the High Country. We liked the styling and interiors of the Chevy better, and saving a little more money But looked at the AT4s and Denalis also. I thing the AT4 would be pretty comparable price wise. The dealership we ended up buying from had GMC and Chevy on the lot.

Used Dave Smith for the first time. They were great. We also had them swap the dog box from the old truck to the new one. They were awesome. Gave us up front trade in values on 2 trucks. No further questions asked. The box had some issues with the computer talking to the non factory LED lights and they got the right harness and factory reprogramming done for the brakes and turn signals to work properly. Prior, it has been a nightmare. Dave Smith is my new favorite dealer and shop for everything not dealer related. Cant speak highly enough about them.
The fender liners keep things clean. They do grab pine needles but, a pressure wash keeps them tidy

I tried looking online at Dave Smith and couldnt get anything to come up. Then I heard he went out of business. Apparently that isnt so. I ended up going through Steves Hometown Chevrolet in Fruitland. Was also going to head over to Tadd Jenkins in Rigby. They had a couple trucks I was interested in for a good price comparatively speaking
. Steves saved me another 4 1/2 hours of driving each way though.
That Denali with the Dog box looks great! We used to get some of those fancy rigs, or even some towing really nice trailers going by the house and down to the old rock pit before they started digging and crushing again! Figure some of those boxes and trailers with dogs were probably more money than my new truck!

Probably my buddy Tim down that way going training. The boxes arent cheap no doubt. Ours was made by a guy in Montana who is now retired. Lucky we got the last one he built
