Hopefully people don't think of a "governor's tag" as if they are just purchasing a B & C buck, but just as an opportunity to hunt a 4 month long season and take a decent, representative animal for what is available in this state. It's really sad when a guy cares nothing about the hunt except what his buck scores.
I'm not saying it's not a trophy hunt, just that to me it shouldn't be all about the score. If the guy kills a buck he's happy with that's all that should matter. And yes, for $7500 it's a great deal. If I had the money I would buy that tag for sure. Like others have said, if you really want a good buck you should go to another state, like Colorado.
