I've given up a long time ago winning POTM, I know I can't compete with most of the photographers on here.

I'm just trying to pick from some of my fave photos and it gets difficult.

Agree'd!  And one of the toughest birdies to get a decent photo of.  I think that has to be credited to the photographer also. Those rocky ridges are not for the meek. I've been on some of that. It's tough country.

ptarmigan, but shawn would tell you to crop your original photo to follow the rule of thirds.  This is as close as I could get with your centered picture above.
