Turkey hunt weekend for ???
« on: January 16, 2010, 09:11:03 PM »
Just tossing out a thought here.  My soon-to-be 8 year old daughter has been bugging me to take her turkey hunting.  I've been doing it a long time and never killed one, as I mostly hunt these *$%# easterns in western Washington.  I'd like to head east to get into more birds for a single weekend hunt with her.  I have everything but a place to go and to be honest, I just don't have time to scout ahead of time.  If there are no takers here, I'll hit the public land around Kettle Falls as I've seen birds up there in the past.

What I'm looking for is a place where we'll have a reasonable chance at seeing some birds and getting her out on her first turkey hunt with me.  She will not be hunting and I really don't care if I get a shot opportunity, though I wouldn't mind finally tagging a bird.  I just want her to have a great time calling and having fun spring turkey hunting.

In exchange for a decent one-time spot to hunt, I am offering a one-time semi-guided blacktail hunt on public/private land or a number of other options ranging from game calling lessons, shooting coaching (archery) for compound/sights, instinctive longbow/recurve, how to build custom arrows, over-coming target panic, elk hunting strategies tailored to your hunting area, treestand hunting tactics, or anything bowhunting related.

PM me if interested in discussing further.  ;)

Thanks!

General.  She won't be hunting, just coming with me for a weekend hunt.
