I have talked with some pro hunters from Africa and they have said to hang a pie plate from a tree and when the wind blows it and it spins the shinny reflection will bring in cats because of there curiosity. Just wondering if anyone has tried this for cougars? I have got pics of the same tom cougar a couple times and just wondering if the pie plate thing would really work on our little kitties.

I have always been told cougars like shiny things. Or was that ratcoons. :dunno:

it works on bobs,feathers and tape,anything that moves...Cats hunt with their eyes and are naturally curious.Usually it needs to be close to a trail that they travel...

I have got a tom that has came by one of my trail cams twice and I have seen a bit of tracks in the area. Think I am gonna try it the next time I go to check cams. Tryin to come up with somethin so I can get more pics of him. The pics I do have are of him just walkin through. Would be nice to have him hang out long enough to get some more pics. Yup gonna try it probably put some feathers out too. Just tryin to stay away from leaving t-bones infront of the cams.

remember this,,big shiny things also attract humans ;) try to find yourself some cat shat and bag it up and place it in view of the camera
