Rimrock Snow

For a few years I ran into bull after bull. Then the season before last season I get an archery bull permit, and nadda!  I guess that's how it goes. Still cant wait to get out and help my buddy fill his tag with a nice spike!  Love Rimrock! Thanks for the input all!

I have hunted rim Rock For over 10 yrs. Every year is different. I have hunted in the snow , or just rain , or blue skies. but the one thing i can say for sure it will be cold. make sure you pack for cold weather, rainy weather , wear layers so if it does warm up you can just peel them off. like it was mentioned before better to be prepared for the worst then not prepared at all.  Have a great hunt maybe ill see ya there

The two times I Muzzle hunted elk up in the William O at 5200 ft we got snow.

We were in Cowiche last year for muzzle and had snow on the opener - 1st weekend in Oct. But it's a crapshoot that time of year. By the end of the week snow was gone. Just need to be prepared for anything and everything.

i will be just over the divide ridge from you guys.  its gonna be a cold one i think this year for the muzzy opener.

i am still thinking maybe to hunt the late season archery over their. i guess i will need some snow shoes

will let you know if i decide to get over that way. i love hunting here, where i live. the elk numbers are way better there. the roads and the snow is what scares me

Expect big snow this year in December for late archery.  It can get deep, although getting up on pine ridge is not that difficult if you have a good 4x4 and some chains.  I would suggest driving up on 1241 RD at the east end of the lake if you are going up on Pine Ridge.  I guess the theme is to be prepared for any weather. Can't wait to get up there!
