22 pistol with a CWP would fit the bill  :twocents:

Wouldnt do much for protection, unless you're getting jumped by a flock of grouse

nasty birds, watch out
Theres plenty of room for all of gods animals.... right next to the mashed potatoes!

What about concealed Weapons Permit and Carry a .22 Like a Ruger 22/45 or even the Walther 5 1/2, Decent accuracy and you can leagally carry them now as long as you have a permit

You don't need a license to carry a concealed weapon while archery hunting. They changed it this year.

You can carry it without a permit but you CANNOT use it for hunting.  Even if you carry it, it is still illegal to hunt with it.  Trying to get around the law to use your side arm for hunting is exactly the argument they use to try and keep us from carrying in the first place.

a. It is unlawful for any person to carry or
have in his possession any firearm while in

season specified for that area, except for
modern handguns carried for personal
protection

No Prob.  I dont agree with the law but it is what it is.  If it was up to me I think we should be able to carry any weapons we want as long as we only use legal weapons to kill the animal we have a tag for.

Well I don't know about you guys but I personally have been attacked by several grouse on SEVERAL occasions. I think that is exactly why the personal protection provision is included. and yes .357 snake shot works great for keeping them from getting the best of you
