Pacific county Blacktail down
« on: October 31, 2010, 11:08:22 AM »
I shot this guy Monday morning. not much of a story it was pure dumb luck. i had been glassing a clear cut that i glass every morning at day light. i decided to make a move and go hunt a timber patch in another location. as i was driving there i spotted this guy standing in a clear cut about 40 yards off the road. he's a 3x3 with eye guards.

Congrats - handsome blacktail.  Persistence creates its own luck!
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.

Hell of a nice buck.  Do you think there was a hot doe in the area to bring him out in the open during the daylight hours?

May I always be the kind of person my dog thinks I am.

Nice buck.  Very symmetrical.
By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

Calling an illegal alien an 'undocumented immigrant' is like calling a drug dealer an 'unlicensed pharmacist'.

ya he was definetly rutting. it problably helped that it was pouring down rain so there was very low visibility.
