that's a good account of a father and sons trials..I feel your feelings also, as do others here.I do believe they still look in on us,I can feel it.hope you go back and get a bull,and sit beside it for a moment and cherish the time ya had with your dad..Life here can be great,but Ill just bet  hes in place where the hunting is the best,sitting by the father of all...Hope to see a post soon,of your dance in the Teanaway

I hope you get that bull.  I'm sure your dad will lend a helping hand, but nonetheless he'll be watching over you.  Good luck.  The Teanaway is my favorite place to hunt.  I have come across a plack in the northfork on a sandstone rock, a memorial of a man that roamed those hills, I believe his son put that plack there in his memory.  Everytime i look around those mountains I wonder how many people have been influenced in a great way by those mountains.  I cherish every moment i have in the Teanaway with my Dad because who knows when he wont be able to hunt up there.

Damn my eyes are leaking. I lost my Dad at 24 and your story brings back lots of memories that linger on the edge now. My 9 year old son started hunting this year and I am rejuvinated to be building memories such as yours with him. Have a great hunt and enjoy your time with your memories. Beautifully written, and I agree it deserves to go in "Best Of".
