Chuckar camp 2011 anyone?
« on: December 29, 2010, 09:01:25 AM »
Wondering if any of you guys are up for a Hunting-washington.com group chuckar hunt.  We did this the past few years down in juntura Or. with a group of people from an oregon hunting forum and it was a lot of fun.  We all camped out and guys either did there own thing hunting or grouped up with a few guys and hunted together.  Kinda nice to put a face to some guys and just get out with other guys that love dogs and what they do.

I'd be interested if I can get off the island.  Don't know if my dog would be any good for that though.  She does love to retrieve....

You don't need a flatter shooting rifle or a larger caliber. What you need is good field marksmanship. Jeff Cooper.

I am new to hunting them in washington, only place I have hunted them was up around elensburg.  Anyone have any ideas on a good place where we can all camp and big enough for this many guns?  I would love to get out there this month before the season ends.  maybe the weekend of the 15th???

I am up for it but don't have a place in this state I am willing to give up that would allow that many hunters. Oregon?

Out by Grand Ronde River would be good. Plenty of areas out there. I know some areas in te middle of the state but could not take much presssure.

And there is the Yakima Training Center. But have to take class and register. Interested in doing a trip next year when I have more time. I think Oregon would be a good area for a group of guys
