Range finder
« on: February 28, 2011, 11:29:23 AM »
Looking to buy a range finder. Got it narrowed down to three.
Nikon riflehunter 550
Nikon prostaff 550
Leupold RX-600
Thought I would ask you experts for your thoughts. Trying to keep it around $250.00 What do you think?

Straight Shooter-  wow! Great price on that! I thought the one on ebay for $275 was a bargain. But Natchez has it for only $220. I'd be all over that one if I was in the market. I paid $350 for mine about 5 years ago.

Range finders have to be one of the most upgraded pieces of equipment shooters use. I, like most guys started out with a cheap unit, in my case a Bushnell, next I had a Nikon that was rated for 900yards but wouldn't get readings past 700 yards. Eventually I bought a leica 900 that worked great but it didn't take long I needed more so I upgraded to the leica 1200, again a great LRF. I hope to great a leica 1600 CRF by summer. I know their expensive but well worth the price, save up for a leica. Buy once, cry once.
