Very good point MD... The 453 of the Barnes 180 is pretty good still.... High Country, I've shot 5 bulls with the TSX or TTSX's and like you, have had text book performance. I am not a Bench Rest or Long Range Shooter, but at "normal" hunting distances (out to 350-400) I am getting very acceptable accurracy from my Barnes.Have you shot "groups" with yours? How tight?
I think the "best" is a matter of opinion. The 180 gr. Scirocco and 175 Berger VLD have preformed flawlessly for me. However, coming out of the big RUM, I'm thinking the 190 or 210 VLD might be the "best". I honestly haven't given Barnes nor the Accubond much of a chance, as I've had better results with the others with less effort. I recently bought another 300RUM specifically for the 210 VLD for "winning the war with wind". I think I'm going to like it.
I would not even think twice with a barnes.
QuoteI would not even think twice with a barnes. You got that right... a 180 or 200 Barnes out of a RUM will kill a bull from ANY ANGLE... as long as you know where to put it....

I'd say that I might have some strong proof to back that up.
