SWEET I already got those........lol

I hate my 10-22, it is a cheap piece of crap.  I gave it to my Dad to shoot raccoons with that get in his barn.

and all my insurgent hunting would be done with my .260 Rem.  Hit and run....

If we get to that point, you would be the insurgent.

As far as 10/22's go, I totally agree. Mine is a piece of crap. Anyone have a recommendation for a similar gun that actually works?

I been thinking that a marlin model 336 in 30-30 might be a good gun to have in case of a melt down of civilization. These guns are pretty damned reliable, they're capable of  fairly rapid fire, they have plenty of punch for game or adversaries out to a couple hundered yards, reasonable accurate, ammo is pretty readily available, and the biggest + in my mind is that they look pretty docile, if that makes sense? My point is if Joe gun grabber see's you carrying around an ar-15 they automaticly think "bad guy!" They see you with some old 30-30 and they think " some dumb cowboy" When in fact the leveraction 30-30 is in some ways a suprior weapon.
