I've made a ton of drawer pulls, door handles and coaster holders out of antlers.  Back when I was a bank maggot plunking for steelies I made a set of rod  holders out of 2 pt sheds and bamboo.  An old dude at the river loved them so much that I gave them to him.

These were sheds that my dad and I found.  My friend and I put it together.  I have enough sheds to work on a couple more but just haven't found the time.  Macabees gift shop in cle elum sells lamps like this for $1000-$1200.

Thats one thing that I cant do is make arrowheads, my brother makes em better than any I have ever seen, you might know of him, cabelas has him doing his thing at the lacy store some times. Its an art form that not many folks can master, true art.

I am in the very bottom of washington. I have only been to the cabelas up there 2 times. It is indeed a art and you just cant bash 2 stones together or manhandle any points. I have broke more then I care to say. I know about 50% as I am self taught. If I could sit down with a few of my friends that I know, I could really learn a thing or 2! I am getting better and better but it take a lot of years to get good. I only knap in the winter months when I am not hunting or farming. I can make pretty decent arrow heads. I work better on larger pices like my knives. I have some I need to work over and make some arrow heads with so I can stick them in some critters :IBCOOL:

What tools do you prefer for knaping?  I know there are tools on the market for this as well as antler.  I am self taught as well and getting better.  Just curious.
