A couple buddies of mine were predator calling off loop loop in the burn and called in a wolf. Walked right in on them.

[/quote. Hey Ridgerunner. Were the tracks seen all over? Or in a concentrated area?

That wolf has been around a couple years. Hangs around the Beaver Lodge. It stole the head of a real nice buck a kid took two years ago. Poor kid had just gotten his first big buck and then lost the head and antlers. He showed me pictures of it on his cell hone.

Just heard a wolf (close-250yds.) at 4:50 on Anderson Road off of the Addy/Gifford Rd.  Another one answered from the mountain to the west.

Just a point of interest. Before the wolves will be delisted they must reach a certain number within the state. With the reports of random killings, this may delay the actual delisting. I understand but it is counter-productive to kill these wolves until it is legal.

Saw two wolves in the stampede unit (gmu466) black one near snowshoe butte From the distance looked like a Bear tell I put the scope on His head and he started moving and saw his tail.
The second one was a grey with black spin running the Power lines in the same unit.

My buddy heard one near pyramid peak Last year during archery season so did my dad.
I heard one this year in stampede while doing a bugle I then through my bugle and gave up

Saw a wolf in GMU 233 near rock creek on Sunday.  No Doubt about it, all gray and very large much bigger and longer than my black lab and he is @85lbs.  Just missed getting photos.  We also saw lots of tracks and heard from several hunters that there was an unusual lack of deer.
