For your gun, and without reloading, there would absolutely no benefit in having the .284 win when you already have a a 280 rem barrel, it would be simple redundancy.  Now if it were a 6.5x284 barrel I would suggest you do the deal and learn to reload.

I just sold a .284.  I've got probably 3 or 4 boxes of ammo I'll give you free if you post a video of how the wife reacts to you buying another gun!
Bring a GPS!  It's awkward to have to eat your buddies!

I will never try to discourage a purchase of such parameters, but i will push guidence elsewhere.  :chuckle:

You should get it. There's nothing wrong with having a little variety. :tup: This barrel would put you one step closer to have a barrel in every cartridge with a .284 bore. Besides, how many guys have both a 308 and a 30-06? There's nothing wrong with a little over lap.
