Shoot one in the water, then try to get one or two more as they try to fly away. If you're going to shoot the duck and do so by sneaking up on it quietly, why is that unethical?

I'd jump them and hurry and set out a half dozen decoys and wait for them or others to come back. Then its time to pound them as their trying to land......
(Unless I could get them to jump at close range, then I'd probably take a couple as they're trying to get the hell outa there.)

I would Rambo up on 'em, swimming underwater with a reed snorkle, and then bust up out of the water with my bandana on and a knife in my teeth, grabbing a couple with my bare hands as they jump up to fly. Anything less isn't really hunting.

Flush them...then shoot them...
We're sportsmen not assassins.
It's personal preference...nothing illegal about shooting them on the water. I flush um!
