which would you chose?
« on: October 06, 2011, 05:36:45 PM »
I can't decide where to invest my hunting time.  Help me decide which is smarter.  If it matters, I've killed four cows, and yet to take a bull. Need meat most of all.

Go for the bull. Beef is probably cheaper in the overall picture anyway.

Ive had tag soup and it is very bland! I usually try and notch a bull in the early season when they're rutting and chase cows in the late. You cant go wrong filling your tag on the first legal elk that comes along. Any elk with a bow is a trophy!

I'd go for the cow. You already missed out on your best chance of taking a bull in the early season. It could be tough getting up on a bull in December. And I think the Margaret has more elk, and it would just be more fun to hunt.
