BBB Strikes Again
« on: December 19, 2011, 01:08:12 PM »
Finally work has slowed enough to let me do some smoking.
I let it cure for 13 days with High Mountain BBB cure, smoked with hickory.

Will be putting mine in the fridge soon.  Throwing it in the smoker next Thursday for the New Years stuff.. football, family dinners.. etc... oh. and am smoking a turkey breast as well..

By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

Calling an illegal alien an 'undocumented immigrant' is like calling a drug dealer an 'unlicensed pharmacist'.

YUMMY!!  Looks delicious and way better than anything you can buy at the meat counter. What cuts of pork did you use?

Hey good idea, making BBB.  I made some last year about this time.  Gave a lb. of it to a friend of mine & he said it was the best bacon he had ever eaten.  His wife made some tater corn chowder with some of it & it was really good.  Might have to make another batch!

Jason, what temp do you smoke that at?  I might be stuck as I can't seem to keep my gas fired one below 230 deg.
