All except Thunder Jack, Old town, Cody, WY. Thunder Jack is on the way to Great Falls fron the N entrance of Yellowstone.(dont recall the hwy)

In my opinion the toughest man to have ever walked this continent was John Colter. Its a national disgrace that his grave was bulldozed over to make way for I-70 back in the day.

John Colter was one of the most interesting men in the Expedition.  I always thought it was interesting that he didn't want to go back to the civilization of the East when the Lewis and Clark trip was over.

docsven.  its not that he didnt want to go back to st.louis its that he got a job offer. can you imagine. i think he must have only been 22 yo when the expedition returned to the mandan camp on the missouri river. he was only 18 when he signed on i believe. its unbelievable. he was on the down hill slide, he was safe, they has essentially made it, he was looking at gas lights, whiskey, women, real food, everything civilization had to offer west of the miss was in st.louis and he went back to the mtns. what kind of man does that?

We do, every fall with our bows & arrows, muskets or riflles to hopefully go where no man has gone before.
