Sad News
« on: May 05, 2012, 11:13:00 PM »
It is with Deep Sorrow and Regret that I report to you that Our Dear Friend and Relative Mike Mabbott passed away this evening at 7:30 PM. :(

We will definitely miss Mike and his Wonderful Personality! :( I will especially miss him this year when I go fishing on the Skagit River because we had a fishing date planned again this year during the Family Reunion! :(

I took this photo of Mike last summer when he went out Salmon Fishing for the first time. :) I just wish we would have done it much sooner! :(

Rest in Peace Mike! Keep a tight line and a Full stringer!

Rest in Peace... God bless
Words of wisdom...Not from me but profound.
On Children

Your children are not your Children.
They are the sons and daughters of life's longing itself. They come through you but not from you.
And though they are with you , yet the do not belong to you.

You may give them your love but not your thoughts.  For they have their own thoughts.
You may house their bodies but not their souls.
For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow.

Grandpa, sorry to hear of the loss of this man. I enjoy the pic you took, Mike looks like a great guy and very happy. His smile has put a smile on my face today. You have these memories with him to last forever.

Sorry for your the loss of your friend, Grandpaw.
:fire.:

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield
