FUR FISH & GAME AD
« on: August 06, 2008, 08:16:56 PM »
Don't know how many of you read FF&G.  It is about the only one I read.  They have an ad in this months issue for a nasty muzzle loader.  3000 ft. per second, 3 inch group at 300 yards with a 275 grn bullet.

Take a look
www.badbullmuzzleloaders.com

Not legal here but impressive.

That's not a muzzle loader that's my 300 win mag. Kind of defeats the purpose of a muzzle stuffer doesn't it? They probable have a 6.5-20x50 Leupold on it, with an adjustable hair trigger.  :mgun2:

I get free gas, but I'm thinking I probably spend about 1500-2000 on hunting every year.  Next year shouldn't be as bad as I had to spend almost 1200 already on some new gear, but something always pops up or springs a leak...I'll probably need new waders after this year....sigh....At least I have my guns taken care of!

I get a company car/free gas for personal and work too. Downfall is that I cant have a weapon in it :bash: Do they care if you have guns in your company car? Most companies have that policy.

Not telling you to go get in trouble, but really how are they going to know?  :dunno: I guess I would probable get in trouble, but free gas, that's like a dream. That's worth more than my entire benefit package.  :'(

Um, I'm sure there is a policy concerning it.  And of course I NEVER keep my weapons in the car.   Again, I think it's a rule that is there for protection purpose.  Not one that would ever be enforced.

My wife would sheat if I spent $1500-$2000 on hunting every year, she wouldn't know what to do with the other $4000-$5000 :chuckle:

Granted thats a 3 year average that includes tags and stuff to, and food for elk camp, and all that stuff.  But I think that will drastically tail off next year as I almost have all my big ticket items for big game (just started 3 years ago)

Ha Ha, amen...Actually it's funny because I've got my Weatherby .270 and .338 both with Leupold V3's on them, and I was like...phew...done with my guns...but then I was like...you know, I really need to get a handgun in case I run into a cougar in close proximity...

*Had a case last year where I didn't run into a cougar, but was hustling through the woods to get to my clear cut before light and ran across our carcass from the Elk we had shot the day before...very scary to suddenly realize where you are and whip around with your gun and flashlight looking for any sign of green eyes! :o
