The entire 8 day trip cost me a little less than $2k. That included air, tags, food, boat fuel and misc. (not including some gear bag additions) Black Bear are one of the best high % OTC DIY hunts in Alaska. It does all depend on the weather and where you intend to hunt thou. Where we hunt is pretty low pressure and is not considered a big guided destination. We only saw one other hunter on the whole trip.I would highly recommend it and will make this an annual trip and next year will be taking home a Giant Brownie.
