Good call, assuming the boat your on finds the fish it will likely be the funnest fishing you have ever done. Those fish are crazy powerful for there size.
121 that day...4.5 hours of wide open bait stop...skip was running a jack pole half the time
What do those average in size? The ones in your pic look pretty hefty!

Hopefully they show soon. Still hundreds of miles out.
water temps are not looking so go for an early August trip. Still keeping my fingers crossed
Water temps are plenty warm. Just no fish. Tempbreak.com is easy to use and good enough for what you are looking for. Images aren't great right now because of cloud cover.

Where can I track water temps? ive been looking here and on Bloody decks forum waiting to start seeing some catches, looks like a slow start this year though....
I would not loose hope yet...some good reports coming from the commercial fleet and tuna move fast. The full moon will be gone and looks like a north blow is coming so Aug 1st could be money for sure. I am fishing in Alaska and return next week to start Aug 1st myself and I feel really confident fish will be within range...I am not nervous at all at this point...... but I am damn glad I did not book any July trips this year as well!
