I have a vanguard in 300 weatherby but don't use it much.

T/C Encore with either a .300 win mag bull barrel shooting 180 grain accubonds or a .280 Rem barrel shooting 139 grain Hornady GMX's if I decide to go with the lightweight setup.
This weekend hopefully the. 280 will get a workout in the high country.

Well, lets see..

my custom 7mm-08 Remington 700 I built with 20" barrel weighs less than 7 lbs. with scope.
my custom .257 Ackley Improved I built on a Howa action.. shoots dime size groups at 200 yards.
my Ruger Redhawk .44 mag, with 240 gr. XTPs
When I am being all nostalgic and miss my dad, I take out his Rem. 760 in .300 Sav. still shoots MOA..
If I think I need something bigger or badder, I grab the elk rifle, Sako in .338 WM.

I have one I want to use this year... .243 wssm in an AR platform..

So many to choose from, so few deer to use them for....

By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

The 7mm o8 should work good for Rori hope you can get her lined up on one.

I'll be guiding my 2 protégé's this year, so I may not squeeze trigger on a deer. But if I do, I'll use my RBros built 6.5X47 Lapua with NF 5.5-22 and Gemtec can.
All this to sling 129 Hornady Interbonds.

My new (virgin) Remington 700 in .300 Win. Mag w/3x9 Leupold, shooting factory 180 grains.

Replacement for mine stolen last year, hope to break it in right though...have both deer & elk antlerless permits
