Ruger M77 (tang safety type)in 7mm Mauser.   The barrel had been shortened to 20" and a mannlicher stock added before I bought it.  I added a NECG front ramp, gold partridge post, hood and receiver sight.  My load is...

175 gr Hornady RN InterLocks over 38.2gr of H-4895 for 2356 fps. (may not be safe for pre '98 mausers)

6 o'clock hold will keep all the rounds on a 6" target dot from 2 to 200 yards.   I am working on a "deer" specific load with 154 RN' s,  but haven't found one I am happy with yet.

Savage 111 30-06.
I'm working on a load using 165gr Hornady Interbonds.
I'm hoping it will be a good all-around load for any big game I come across this season.

Almost punched my tag with my Toyota Tundra this year.  :chuckle:

I took one with my Jetta last year, and almost took another with my Silverado about a month ago. I wish I was that lucky while in the woods! :chuckle:

Stevens .7mm-08 with Hornady 139 grain SST.  Shoots surprisingly well for a budget rifle.

Kimber 8400 Montana, Leupold VXIII 2.5-8x32mm, and Winchester 180gr Ballistic Silvertips.

Love the gun but the bullets suck. They shoot well but terminal performance is too explosive for a big game bullet. Switching to 200gr Accubonds when I can come up with a good load.

The wife's grandfather prefers the Ford Escape opening weekend and the neighbors borrowed Explorer the second week of season.
