It has been said that a turkie (facts)
A turkie can see 300 degrees of vision.Vision is equal to a pair of 8 power Bino's.
A turkie can hear you scratching the ground from a 1/4 mile better.
They see color.
If "they" had a sense of smell you would never tip one over. It would be tuffer than any Whitetail you would ever hunt.

   I thought the question was going to be about the scent that a turkey has....  I once smelled some upwind of me 40 yards away.

Have to agree with the statement that if they could smell, we would hardly ever be able to get one.

I remember when my wife was gutting one for the first time. She was complaining " holy crap that's worse than a deer". I reminded her it smells alotbetter when it's in the smoker though.

No, if they could they'd be darn near un-killable.

I'll try anything..some believe that turkey smell to some degree.  I have bought this stuff.  Not sure if it ever worked.  LOL.

Some believe the moon is made of cheese too....     With the stuff I've seen our chickens and turkeys eat, there is no way they have a sense of smell.   

That scent stuff might be good for training turkey dogs, where you can use them, or for coon trap bait?
