NRA News: UN Doomsday Treaty With Ginny Simone

NRA News' investigative reporter Ginny Simone takes a look at the global gun control goals of the United Nations. By pushing for a binding international treaty aimed at superseding the U.S. Constitution, the United Nations is committed to rendering Americans' Second Amendment rights to own a firearm meaningless. Simone interviews past and current U.N. officials and politicians and examines the debates at the United Nations Small Arms Summit to expose the international anti-gun agenda.

I was born a free man, i live my life a free man and i will die a free man. But its probably going to be ugly and at least i am consoled by knowing i will not be traveling alone.   :guns:  Oh it wont be the US Military coming around. It will be homeland security and their ilk. It will strictly be a political play which by and in itself renders it to resistance by rebels such as myself. Or right wing extremist which is what ill be.

It does seem far fetched Mike That they would come for our hunting rifles and such. TRUST is the key in our relationship with our government. Like many of you I have been losing my trust in our elected officials for some time. It has mostly been a slow slide until lately. IF a politician from one of the most corrupt cities in the USA, Chicago, can get elected and reelected then perhaps we should be wary. When we have had freedom loving presidents we had no need to fear our gun rights. Even when we have had what i may consider self serving presidents like Bill Clinton, or Carter we had little to fear because THEY wanted to be re elected...  After election they did not need to push as hard the the left as the current occupant. Perhaps we should cling to our Guns Gold and Religion because those thing are much likelier to provide our freedom than our president.
In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.

Forgive me If I'm wrong, but we (USA) are a member in the UN, if this passes we could just withdraw, correct? In which case, an organization which depends on its members to enforce its laws would be rendered unable to enforce anything without its largest militaristic ally...

No, you should not. I don't. To be American means to love freedom more than life itself. To be free means to fight for your God given rights. Those cowards are slaves in waiting.

They are trying to pass a treaty.  Obama may sign it, but there is no chance of that treaty being ratified in the Senate.

Heck, you think our PEOPLE would allow it?  Japan would'nt send troops to invade the US 70 years ago--you think they will NOW?

They just might.  It wouldn't be an invasion with the full support of the POTUS.

Not necessarily the oath a service member takes says he will obey the lawful orders of the President and those appointed over them Unless it has changed since I retired I think the majority of the service members would elect to disobey that order knowing it is unconstitutional.  At least I hope that the military would make that decision if not then they become casualties as well

The military would definitely not be the ones taking your guns. Who's going to do it? The commo, cooks and paper pushers? I can tell you that 90% of the real soldiers (combat arms) would most certainly refuse that order since it would mean turning in our own personal weapons. Just like you guys we are not going to do that.

Of course that would only happen in the foil hat wearing world since this treaty isn't even about taking guns away but rather the better regulation of international arms trade.

Not the House and Senate--just the senate. And it must be done by 2/3rds majority. At least half have already signed its death warrant on arrival. Thank God.

ya it's a good thing but need to see. I remember back in the 90's people never thought that in australia gun confiscation would come but it did. While in the NRA I went to a meeting when they were trying to pass that one law that would confiscate guns if passed. While there I got one of the VHS tapes that were on the table with other literature. I viewed it later on and it did show how anti gun politics won out in that country and confiscated their guns. Even a family heirloom was considered contraband. Yes were one of the only Countries with a second ammendment, but believe it will and can happen here. All it takes is enough people here to get tired of guns and elect enough House and Senators and wham her it comes. With Obamacare holding up in the courts it's all open to enterpretation. Get a couple Judges in there to uphold it and were done.
So ya lets hope it isn't ratified and hope 2/3rds actually have enough sense to say no.

Don't forget pending SCOTUS appointments - up to three-  Obama has already appointed two.

His appointees will have majority rule then.

here to get involved or whatever is a link to a site I found
http://www.ammoland.com/2012/11/26/political-left-is-firing-back-with-more-lies-about-the-arms-trade-treaty/#axzz2Djne6S5J
theres a link to tell your senators to appose this.
WHile searching for articles on this I seen a lot of articles that say no fear it's not a gun confiscation I found this site. Registration is the first move never let anyone tell you otherwise. What ever side you fall on the conspiracy theory this is happeneing for a reason of design not random.
"When my bow falls, so shall the world. When me heart ceases to pump blood to my body, it will all come crashing down. As a hunter, we are bound by duty, nay, bound by our very soul to this world. When a hunter dies we feel it, we sense it, and the world trembles with sorrow. When I die, so shall the world, from the shock of loosing such a great part of ones soul." Ezekiel, Okeanos Hunter
