Sweet
I saw one that big, too bad it was lying on front lawn in Port Townsend chewing its cud.

Incredible buck. Looks pretty similar to Cam Hanes buck he took this year. I'd give at least both nuts for a deer like that. Tell me it was shot in Oregon it will make me feel a little better.

Corey,
I wondered how long it would take for this buck to show up.  He works with my ol man and we got the picture back when he killed it.  I guessed 150ish from the pics.

What a Beauty.  I would have guessed more low 140's but certainly wouldn't dispute 150.  Awesome deer.  Thanks for the pics

I haven't talked to him about puttin a pic up but he is a good buddy of mine so he can get mad at me over a beer and stare at the rack... and besides I have been huntin that buck for 2 years, I got trail cam pics of him from the last couple.. if I didn't get him I glad he got him, well desreved.. he said it brought tears to his eyes when he walked up on him, he thought it was only a lil 3 point.. couldn't be happier for him...

. Sorry buddy I've probably shown to much already, I treat my westside blacktail spots just like my eastern turkey spots once u get one or a good spot ur smart if u don't show or tell anyone if u want it to be a good spot on the westside... not even ur buddies.. this hunter is the only soul I have ever seen in this particular spot and I couldn't be more happy he notched his tag with this guy..

I think blacktail hotspots are a bit more rare than Eastside turkey spots  :chuckle:

In my experience a great E-WA turkey area is between the Pacific Crest Trail and Idaho.

Definitely a nice buck. I tried to hunt this same clearcut/area during late buck, but unfortunately we had 7 guys on quads pass us on our way in.

Great buck.

I find it funny all his buddy's complaint about quads, when the very same day that buck was killed, the gent in the pics rode his quad by me and my 2 partners.

Corey it wasnt from my old side, it was from the other side. I hunted up there a little during rifle elk with the wife and saw a huge 3x4 with eyeguards and a small group of elk but nothing legal. A buddy of mine has a relative who works with the shooter so I have a pretty good idea where it was shoot  :chuckle:

So the gates from all sides are legal to drive quads around? I'll keep that in mind next year.

Please don't confuse me as one of the buddy's who was there. I know where this was killed the same way Jeremiah P does...People talk. I have no idea if this guy was on a quad or not, but I can guarantee you that I wasn't. I only tried to hunt that gate one day during late buck and had quads go by me. If I could have blocked the quad trail with my truck I would have, but I would have been blocking the gate too.

damn skippy, everyone that seems to have problems with how, when and whereone some whacks such aan awesome critter are the types that sit at home during the huntn season and then have the sack to complain about other people who are succesful, i guess when i someday connect with a hog blackie like this fella has i will remeber not to post on here, maybe i could just pm it to people that aint gonna judge me, and the thing is i have never or will never have anything to hide, i hunt my ass off all the time and i play by the rules and i am useally pretty succesful when it comes to blacktail huntn, yet a few of you peeps can make a guy feel like he has done somethn wrong.......and the worst part of the whole deal? this is a HUNTN SITE DUTES.....
