I'm thinking we need to win the lotto so we can have a butler ;)
Rad I don't think Butlers cook, but they could open the door for your cook/chef.  :chuckle:

My knowledge of butlers comes from watching Geoffrey on Fresh Prince of Belaire.  So what do I know :dunno:  Everyone is trying to ruin my dream  :tung:  A chef that does the laundry and picks up dog poo would work too :chuckle:
He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."

I do all the cooking.  It's a nice brain-dead activity after I get home from work most days, and I like seeing people enjoy good eats.  I cook a lot of tex-mex stuff, and a lot of "comfort food".

She does all the cleanup, and that's actually a pretty big job since I'm messy.

In fact, tonight is gonna be a 9lb pork shoulder, garlic mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus.

Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.”

Haven't you learned by now that our reading comprehension on this site is purely selective?  Although according to the wife I only hear what I want to hear at home too  :chuckle:

Before we met, I was a cook in a Sea Galley for a bit. Then after we dated a while I was a cook at a bowling alley. Nearly 30 years later I'm way out of the game now. But I can chop, fry, sous, with just about anyone. The grill is my place though, She doesn't touch it. My wife is a good cook; And since the recent surge of cooking shows on TV, she's experamenting in the kitchen.  I like it so far.

I started doing the cooking early in our marrage because I got off work at 2:00 and my wife didn't get home until six - now I'm retired and she's still working so its still way more convenient for us that I do the cooking - She's good at it so when she offers on the weekend or during holidays / vacations I take her up on it.
I beg to dream and differ from the hollow lies

I cook 95% of the time since I retired and love it.  My wife still works and loves coming home to dinner being ready and almost always stuff from scratch.  She says she can't understand why we didn't do it this way sooner...

occasionally. I bring in 100% of the income so I'm not going to do 50% of the housework. However, a stay at home mom's job never ends so I make it my business to give her a few nights off every week, be it by cooking, taking us out, or doing the dishes  :)
