Why not just have the land on the other side of the river walk in only?State land is open--BUT Weyco. will close the gate so you need to fly. They do it rarely now since they hear from irate people who demand easement to our public land every time they close it. When they close it this year, be sure to contact the DNR and demand easements to this public land since there aren't any.Except the thousands upon thousands of acres of state land that isn't land locked...sent from my typewriterNot in the Toutle there isn't.

There are phone numbers you can call to verify access.Honestly there are signs up in certain areas that are more than 2 years oldIn past years I have actually seen the signs before they update their hotline. Ive called to see if they were closed and it hadn't been updated for almost a month so I pack up and get to the gate and there they are, FIRE DANGER SIGNS. To be safe, I would pay attention to both signs and hotline. Would suck to get caught and have to play the ignorant card because you didn't check

Come on washington RAIN
Good chunk of State Land off of Rock Creek Rd in south part of Toutle Unit. No gates and decent amount of elk. Hunted it last year with cow tag when all the Weyco land was closed.
