Fiancé's first kill. Blacktail Buck
« on: October 20, 2013, 06:05:14 PM »
Got her first kill today. One shot 100 yards free hand.
He was following close behind a couple does. Glands were wet and he was stinkin'. Still got plenty of time to get mine!

That is a dandy first buck...you should mount it for her.  I can't wait for the day I nail a nice blacktail.  Strong work to the lady.

Thanks all, don't know how the pics turned upside down.

But yeah he's 17.5 inches wide and 4x2. There was a .5inch eye guard in his fork side.

Alders and small firs are ripped up everywhere. He still had bark on his bases.

And yes, he's all caped out for a shoulder mount!
