Ass, gas, or grass it take's money and time to build roads, toilet's, patrol and a whole lot of other items that we don't see done. Could be like Texas where most of the property is private and you pay to enter. Time for everyone to look at what we have and maintain it. When my kids use the property they get the same speech and I expect them to share that with the next generation to come along. Public property is all of our home's and we pay to maintain our own home's this is no different.Don't want to take this thread in another direction, but I think the main gripe over this thing (mine included) is that only a very small fraction of the DP's income goes to the land/area that 90% of the money comes from. Most people wouldn't have a problem with paying a recreational access fee if the money went towards road maintenance, garbage pickup, etc. in the areas that we use the pass. The problem is the pass is basically a subsidy for state parks that the public doesn't want to pay for. We don't have a problem paying for something we get something in return for.

Because last year I was there and only a handful of vehicles had them out of the 200 hundred trying to park there? I seen the volunteers at Oak Creek trying to tell some people about the pass but they weren't to receptive. Lot of money right there.......They enforced it last year. Last year there was even a State Park Ranger writing tickets at the feed station. So yes, State Park Rangers writing tickets at WDFW areas, and YES this is legal. hope they hit it hard again this year then, especially at oak creek areas since I heard alot of people saying expletive things to the volunteers there. I tossed in my for the volunteers and a nice conversation took place several times. Needless to say, lot of money there on any given day waiting to be collected.

I Agree, But What A Way To Chase Off People That Are Curious And Don't Have A Clue About The Feeding Areas. If The State Can Defer A License For A Year To A New Hunter That Should Be The Case For A Viewer Too?

If The State Can Defer A License For A Year To A New Hunter That Should Be The Case For A Viewer Too?The state defers the hunter education requirement for a year, not the hunting license. This allows a person to purchase a hunting license where they normally would not be able to do so.

to be honest, the only people that should be required to buy this pass are the non sportsman, what i mean by that is the people that DO NOT BUY a hunting or fishing license!!! DONT we the sportsman pay enough?? IDK about you guys and gals but with 2 kids and myself, after permit apps for the kids, i dont put myself in anymore, but after the kids and myself i am at 400 and thats definatly on the cheap side, i know other guys that pay more than that just for themselves, plus they buy raffle tickets to, it wouldnt hurt the WDFW or whoever is incharge of this damn discover pass to STAND-UP for the sportsman, WE PAY ENOUGH ALREADY!!! go after the non sportsman that have the right to vote down huntn methods that have been around for ever, tell them since they voted stuff down that they need to pick up the extra dollars lost...... you see you start takin huntn methods away and you lose money YET you want the people that are losing rights to hunt a certain way to make up for the money shortage, sorry if that dont make alot of sense to some, i am sure piannoman or one of the other future POTUS members could have said it a little more eliquently
My fishin buddy came back to his rig and trailer that was sitting on a gravel bar on the Clearwater, after a long float to find one of those $99 Discover Pass tickets on his rig. The whole thing is just a racket!
