That one on the left looks like a young buck.  Good genetics.  Loved to see him in two years.

I didn't think the entiat had a general season.   :dunno: I guess it does and it looks to be pretty good.

Gotta love these forums. I think this forums slogan should be HuntWa "we're giving away info one brag at a time"

Congratulations to you and your son. It sounds like it was a memorable day, but you don't have to include location in your posts.

Dude did you you read the posts on this topic dude?

I'm just using this as an example. I agree this is a general unit, but people need to use some discretion when putting stuff on the internet.

Sounds like JM is going to have a little more company during the general opener this year. :chuckle:

It dosent matter . It's getting worse every year. I haven't even seen a buck in the last 2 years. Plus it's starting to look like little Mexico. And getting worse . Not even hunting it this year hunting close to home. And going to Montana to put some meat in the freezer. Remember one thing just becouse I said what unit we shot them in dosent mean your going to go over there and shoot a buck. It's a big unit.   I gess the next time I draw a permit I won't tell any one on here so they won't hunt it. Get over it .you don't own the unit.

If it makes you feel any better I've never set foot in the Entiat.

Congtats on the bucks though. Like I said it must have been a memorable weekend with your son. I was just using this as an example.

Like I've said before if just one percent of the people that read this stuff decide to go there.

Why does everyone get so defensive of there hunting area?  :dunno:
Pumpkins are everywhere, even miles from the trail heads or locked gates. :o
I don't think there are many "secret" honey holes left on public land.  ;)
GMUs are big enough and it takes more work and time then most are willing to put in to find the habitat that holds the critters and then to pattern them. :dunno:
Then it still takes a little luck getting the timing and conditions just right to bring it all together.

This last season the biggest blacktail buck I've seen killed was shot in a field that two other hunters had walked through an hour before.  :IBCOOL:

We all want to think we have the hills and woods to ourselves, when the fact is a lot of us are successful because we plan on how the animals react to other hunters.

So again what is the problem with sharing what GMU we hunt? And by the way I hunt 90% of the time within an hour from Yelm.  Maybe I will see you in the hills or on the lakes. Best of luck, and have a great hunt. :hello:
