I'll go out on a limb here....Tony, you probably drew multiseason deer, and you probably didn't draw multi season elk.    :)   Does that help you with your special permit selection?

That's quite the prediction

Don't take it personal tony.  Bobcat is an employee of the department  :chuckle: .  He defends them on every aspect of their actions.  He has done this same thing to me on multiple occasions.  So don't feel singled out.  I'm with you tony RUN IT!!!!  We pay a lot of money to enter these drawings and if selected even more.  So if one company hires another company to do work on my home, I'm not calling the hired company to get stuff done right.  I'm going to the company I pay for work and they can handle it.  They hired this company to run the draw.  I say get a new company that does it more efficiently and draws my name every time  :chuckle: .   But really its on the department for choosing that company.

I'm not diggin' on you.  I guess I think it is timely enough already.

No harm no foul.  It's not like it would bug me if it were to be drawn sooner.

I blame it on WDFW, then again I blame everything on them!   :chuckle:
I kill elk and eat elk, when I'm not, I'm thinking about killing elk and eating elk.

It doesn't matter what you think...

DIYARCHER- I'm not a WDFW employee, not sure where you got that idea. If you read all of my posts you'll see that I criticize them as much, or probably more, than I "defend" them.

I just think it's a bit premature to be going off on them when it's been SEVEN days since the deadline. If results aren't available two weeks from now then I'd say there's room for complaints.

But after only seven days we're going to criticize them? Come on!  If we criticize them for silly, non-important stuff like this, do you really think they'll take us seriously when we have a legitimate complaint?

Spoken like you actually believe they do! :chuckle:

Good point! But still, I think it's ridiculous to complain after only seven days.

Only 7 days for 2 drawings is the point.  It takes forever for the main event.  And all I was asking for was for someone to give me a GOOD reason why.  Haven't got one yet.

I don't know who bobcat works for either, but from all of his posts, all I see is someone that is straight forward and "to the point". Either for or against an issue raised by our members.  :dunno:  And I don't even know him....

I know they have a company draw the big permit draw but I'm not sur about the smaller draws.  I was asked by a supervisor a couple years ago if I wanted to be put on a list of people to witness the draw as it happens, she was talking about the spring bear draw.  She said I would have to come to Olympia if they picked me?  havnt got picked yet!
“In common with”..... not so much!!

Washington really sucks. Why can't they be more hunter friendly, like Wyoming for example?

Wyoming's application deadline for antelope is March 15. No seven day wait there - they promptly post - at the end of June or early July.

What's even better is they don't set the quotas until late April, so you're really not sure how many tags will be available when you apply.

Come on WDFW - get with it.
Nature. It's cheaper than therapy.
