Good tag if you get away from the roads. Here is a thread http://hunting-washington.com/smf/index.php/topic,127812.msg1698548.html#msg1698548 worth reading, it will keep you grounded and show you exactly how NOT to treat that tag.
Ha! Thanks. I read that one months ago... Definitely not going to be like that... I am just thrilled to have the chance to see all the deer and get out in the woods. I read another post months ago of an archery hunter and his hunt. This guy did it right if you ask me... http://www.huntfishnw.com/index.php?topic=3338.0 ... Wasnt that you that hunted with him? that sounded like an amazing time. If that was you what did you guys use for cameras and lenses?I do need to go back and read older posts for info though... There seems to be a lot of good info already out there for this hunt.
Not sure you needed the tag to take a bunches of pictures like you mentioned..
I still feel sorry for the buck that guy shot last year. A great animal like that deserves to be respected. That look on his face like somone tinkled in his corn flakes was priceless.

If I end up waiting till the last day and end up shooting a spike I'll have nothing but smiles. I mean I really want a trophy but that's really just a bonus.

With that attitude you will have a great hunt, good luck!
My dad drew it as well, should be an awesome hunt. Have property in the unit and will be up there the whole season!! Enjoy seeing the animals, glass, put some miles on the boots, they are still around without snow but if it does be prepared with chains and winch that can be attached to front or back! Just have fun and it'll be successful!
