I feel for you, nothing is sacred even on private property.  I have had a guy shoot and wound a deer on my place on camera, he cleared the photos on the camera he found trying to cover his tracks but didn't see the other camera that also captured a photo of him.  At least he left the camera there and just cleared the photos.

I have had others steal deer and elk sheds that I leave out for my kids to find.  I have my place clearly posted but some people just don't care if it is posted or not they think it is there right to go were they want and take what they want.

Hopefully next year is better for you.

and those "cleared" photos are probably recoverable with cheap software.
Yes but the other camera had clear photos of him. He denied it until I showed him the photos from the second camera. Then he came clean. Irritating but again at least he left the camera.
Pain is temporary, achieving the goal is worth it.

I didn't say it would be easy, I said it would be worth it.

To me you confronting him was a BIG mistake I think you should of let the LEO's confront him.. But then how many cops would of done anything they would of said the crime is to small for us to worry about......

there was a news story about a neighborhood in or adjacent to Seattle that is hiring off duty police officers to deal with their increase in crime.

there was a member here (Jingles?) that caught Forest Circus out stealing trail cams on his property.

:yike: "Forest Circus" is a member on here?

I guess it wouldn't surprise me. If I recall correct a few members on here have screwed other members over on things like gas money and still have the nerve to show their mug. pbj3 and xXLoloJaxX ??

To answer the OP's original question: a piece of chit steals cams. They're everywhere these days, whether it be other hunters, hikers, forest circus workers, etc. One blow to the head and a several week recovery time would be fine by me as a solution to a thief of any kind. :twocents:

Had a couple stolen. Next year there will be several in the area to catch the theif.  I'm sure they will be back and I will get a pic.

Probably should be positive of this before calling people out on maybe remembering something. Just sayin....after a lot of years on here and a pretty decent memory for stuff like this, I don't recall anything bad ever being said about the 2nd member you mentioned. Just a thought.

Good sir,

I must have confused you with someone else. I should have checked before opening my mouth (touching my keyboard). I am very sorry. I have edited my post FWIW.

I don't normally review a bulk of ones posts but in doing so for you its clear  you bring quite a bit to this forum and obviously keep your nose out of trouble far better than I do  :bash:
