It's been a little rough off Mukilteo lately.  Anyone heading out today?

Rescue off camano during the storm. Two guys trying to salmon fish in six foot seas.  Bayliner Capri not quite up to the task.  Outboard crapped out.  No pfd,s. They were puckered big time. :yike:

that's freaking nuts, I owned a 19 ft capri at one time , that's the last place I would want to be in it with wind and waves

Thinking of hitting the San Juan’s this long weekend for pinks and kings.

What’s the good word?  Are people still picking up fish in MA7?

My gut was to hit west side of San Juan Island, probably at the north end by Henry Island one day and maybe around cypress for another, but would love to hear from people with poles in the water.

Any good reports?

One of the Anacortes charters had a limit of coho from Deception Pass.  I haven't heard from anyone fishing Eagle Pt lately.  We caught one pink and a bunch of short kings off Blakely (oops, meant Cypress) last week.

Saw 6 people on West Beach with no pinks and a pile of people on North Beach with two boats out front.  Saw several people carrying bags of fish back to their rigs.  Didn't hang out and chat as it was dumping out.
Cut em!
It's not the shells!  It's the shooter!

Thanks guys. I was hoping to avoid the chaos that can be deception pass, but if there are fish there I might venture that way.

I would really like to stay in the San Juans, but it seems by the creel reports and such that more fish are being caught down south.

So many choices...

I will let you know how I do.

The boat was a 17 footer, with four guys on board.  When the motor konked out it was gusting to 59 knots by Camano State Park.
