If it was posted "No trespassing" which it essentially is saying, would you need to confirm online?

Ignorance can go both ways if you don't talk to source and rely on heresay on a forum. I asked a simple question about confirming with the timber company and whether anyone has for walk in access.

But you won't mention the company?

My normal haunts are owned by Campbell Group. Posted closed to access.

I like they are calling it closed to non-permit access. Used to say closed to all public access but if you had a permit it didnt apply to you until they closed it to All access then it did. Was very confusing.
I think in a week everything was closed to non permit access anyway?

It seems you are only asking for a specific answer that is an enabler for you to enter the posted land.
I see you are a Kitsap person, which suggests you are wanting to head to my neck of the woods. The land around here is owned, for the most part, by Pope Resources. There land is closed to all access right now. You can't walk, run, bike, drive, jump, skip, crawl or flap your arms really fast and attempt to fly into their land. It doesn't matter if you enter it at a gate or somewhere you can't see the sign from. It's private property. Stay out.
You may not like the answer but that is the situation.

Actually,  with respect, you are wrong.  I found online that access is indeed granted if you are able to flap your arms fast enough to fly. It is posted on site, not online.

When does "closed to public entry" ever NOT mean closed to public entry?

They put the signs on the gates because that's normally where most people access those lands. It's unreasonable to expect them to post their entire property line.

" if you are able to flap your arms fast enough to fly"

The ability to do this would make you part of a protected class.

Weird how if you buy a permit, you all of a sudden aren't a danger for starting a fire...

If there is a sign saying close to public entry posted on a gate....then it's closed plain and simple. DO NOT TRUST THE COMPANY WEBSITE. There are times they are very delayed to get an update on current accessibility levels.
