Only five more days and we will know. No elk permits for me this year though. I only applied for moose and quality deer.

Why no elk tags ? Seems like your shorting yourself chances at awesome tags for a pretty low price

Five days is just my guess. I have no inside info. June 10th wouid put it at the same number of days from the deadline as it was last year.

No elk applications, yeah I know, I can barely believe it myself. But I just didn't feel like I would have the time to put into a special permit elk hunt this year, and a general season tag is basically a choice between giving Weyerhaeuser $300 for access or hunting spikes on the east side.

To make up for it I'll be spending time and money in Wyoming again, just like I've done the last two years.

This is kind of a slow thread this year going into possibly the draw week;  anyone know how many pages there were last year at this time?

This isn't the main draw results thread.

I totally agree with that and I always recommend people at least apply for the point option. But I'm short on money this year, and I bought a deer license and nothing else. So for $45 I get a full year of hunting for deer, coyotes, and grouse. This was my year to give Washington state the least amount of money as possible. The only way the state's getting more money from me is if I draw a moose tag.

Starting to cut back myself.  I am looking forward to a OIL tag this year.

I think everyone is pretty much resigned to the "not drawn" notice, so what's the point in anticipating the innevitable? :chuckle:

Myself, looking forward to coming home on Thursday at 3:00 PM,  and logging in to the wdfw website and either saying oh crap not again, or celebrating, and starting to plan.
