I'm sorry for your loss! As long as you have memories of him he will be with you!
My interpretation of the rules are open to interpretation.

Your Dad, may he rest in peace, didn't lose his fight. He raised a couple of stud young men and he fought the hardest fight for a decade. Very sorry for your family's loss D, he sure sounds like he was a tough old Cob and was game right up to the end.

So sorry to hear of your loss.  My Father passed away in 2013.  Still think of him everyday.  Your Father will always be with you in your thoughts and the wonderful memories you both created.  May he rest in peace.
