You think that thing died from the branch/tree?

The Branch was not very heavy - I think the skull has been there a few years, under the cedar tree collecting debris. Could have been clobbered though, hard to say,

Not a shed but found this after a few hours of slipping & tripping in some deeper woods. Of course I left it there,
Talk about blending in! It would be very easy to walk by that without seeing it.

A couple years back a guy I know found a real nice blacktail skull and body where the head was stuck in the V of a tree, apparently dying when the animal was rubbing on the alder.

I finally got a few hours to hike around with my little brother yesterday, it felt so good just to get out in the sunshine!  We each found one shed, his is the 3 point and mine is the MONSTER spike  :chuckle: Can't wait to get back out there!

I finally got a few hours to hike around with my little brother yesterday, it felt so good just to get out in the sunshine!  We each found one shed, his is the 3 point and mine is the MONSTER spike  :chuckle: Can't wait to get back out there!
The smaller sheds take the most skill to find!
