taurus model 85 in 38sp or 357mag, run you around $330 after taxes if you are a member at OE or sportco and get the 5% member discount.

I carry a Colt Python .357 in a shoulder holster.  Very comfortable and easy to get to.  I paid $295 for mine but that was back in '78. ;)

I'll give ya $295.00 for it?  ;)

Slider, your generosity overwhelms me. :chuckle:  You'd probably give me the $235 I paid for my S&W Model 41 too. ;)
It is not my duty to validate your delusions.

I pack a ruger redhawk Alaskan in 454casull, loaded very close to the top end with hard cast 300gr bullets.  It'll put a hurtin on anything it slams into, best part is I can buy cheaper 45LC bullets to practice with.
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.
If I ageed with you, then we'd both be wrong.

I'd vote for either one of the S&W mountain revolvers or a ruger blackhawk with a 4 5/8" barrel in any caliber that starts with 4

I sold mine but I think I will be replacing it soon. It shot really nice with high power and reduced loads. Dang why did I sell that gun, that was stupid.

Excellent choice Goldtip.

so let me get this straight, you CAN carry a concealed weapon if you are going to or from your hunting/fishing or camping grounds???loaded or unloaded????I asked a cop cause this has been buggin me for a while now.He told me to put it in the glove box???I asked if it would be better to put an unloaded gun in plain sight like the dash and he told me no that would make an officer freak..I'm soo lost please help guys...

I have a S&W airlite 329 PD 44mag.........It weighs 26oz sucks to shoot but is a pleasure to carry  :dunno:

Great gun and the best weight/power to carry for this state.  I have two buddies in MT who had to kill a grizzly a few years back with one using 330 grain bearloads at 25 yards.  It did kill it but it did not phase it.  It went a long ways with one in the chest.  Here I carry one but in thick grizzly country I pack my S&W 500 4'' with 440 grain casts!

If you shop around you can something for your price range.  The most dangerous thing in the woods around here is other people. I have never carried a sidearm in washington for fear of critters :twocents:

that is the lightest 44 I've ever heard of. Sounds like it could do a number on the wrist... :chuckle:

I second the Single six, those grouse are dangerous.
If you shoot the first one you will never get that true trophy.

That gun is similiar to my Tarus Titanium Tracker 41 Mag.  I think it is like 26 oz too.  Never seen one but the Smith is likely a better made gun than mine.  Tarus is OK nothin special.
