Blue Mountain Foothills West
« on: September 19, 2018, 10:28:01 AM »
Anyone else have this tag this year and planning on hunting the full week. I’ll be by myself for most of this trip, so seeing what other tag holders will be around to drink beer with after we smoke a 200” whitetail 😆

I am planning on heading in the evening of the 8th in prep for the Friday opener.

Surely there will be at least a little beer drinking going on at the Last Resort.

Seen some BIG deer in there during elk season. Hope for snow and don’t hesitate to take one of the masher two points that seem to be all over in there. They have some serious mass on those antlers.

There's a 3 point minimum restriction.

Oldest daughter drew this one and the youngest drew the muzzy tag that starts on the 20th.  Probably do the first weekend and the last if needed then move on to the muzzy tag with my youngest.

We aren't looking for 200" deer though, just nice 4x4 whitetails.  More than anything looking forward to seeing a bunch of deer and spending family time in the woods with lower pressure.
Pain is temporary, achieving the goal is worth it.

I didn't say it would be easy, I said it would be worth it.

They're white tails dude. No such thing as a 4X4. They are 8 pointers! :chuckle:

Thanks for the heads up.  I'm not a whitetail guy but hopefully by the end of the season my girls will be.
