Setting the record straight, I believe these are the Pacific North Wild guys according to the Facebook.  I don’t see any of them in the pics.

That picture is missing Bobby Petit but those are them, all good guys and it sounds like all stud high buck hunters from the texts I've gotten so far. Sounds like they've got some pretty good stories from their most recent hunt.

I've been planning on getting more trail cams myself to hopefully guide this years blacktail hunt... and this thread is spooking me out! Gotta be creative with where I put em I guess...

Y'all got any advice for a newbie on discreet placement of trail cams to prevent theft/sd card molestation? Any brands to avoid?

Good on the fella who came clean. Honesty and integrity should be the values we uphold in hunting right?

Get a very tough, heavy bear box, lag bolt it to the tree with 3 big bolts. Or take a portable light ladder of some sort and put the camera up high, screw in steps work too. Cable locks don’t work

I was only messing! He's explained himself well enough, I'm sure he will see the humor in it.

Get a damn lock box! Dont put them on well traveled trails everyone uses.  Problem solved.  I have never had mine messed with.  On the other hand I dont put mine is heavy traffic areas.  I hike in and put it on game trails.

I’ve had a couple guys look pretty pissed they were on camera but my box is pretty secure unless they just break the actual camera

Checked on my cam yesterday only to find someone had cut the cable lock and stolen it off of private property. Next time it’s going 9’ up, I’ll use some screw in pegs to install/check and pull them out each time.

Pretty crazy what people are doing on some game cam pics and the stories of what people have had done to the cameras  >:( sorry to hear about some of your bad luck and issues, I've yet to put up a camera and don't think I've ever seen on in the woods either maybe I'm hunting the wrong spots   :dunno: ... or the right ones  :chuckle:

problem not solved, this camera of mine was about a mile off a trail in the back country, in a lock box, with a new cable lock.  And they broke the cable lock, couldn’t cut the lock on the box so tried to break the box open. I’m not saying lock boxes don’t help, they do, but it doesn’t solve it.
