« on: February 01, 2019, 11:28:51 AM »
Evidently when man reaches,,,,,, oh let's just say uhhhh ,, my age ?? Priorities seem to take a back yard chair ? Anyways , I'm going down to the mighty Columbia in search of jaws , ( 5 lb.trout ) and it seems all my buds r to tires, to lazy , hungover or just to stupid to admit to there selves we have seen Tom Brady win super bowls before ( hate that guy ) even if he is the greatest of all time , so I'll be down there by myself , good thing I got the two pole indorsement for the first time ever ,so maybe I'll be able to keep busy enuff to stay awake ?

Entertaining as always, Cryder. Have a good worm soak. Tight lines and bent poles for you.

I've found a great pleasure in not watching any of those fellas games anymore.  It's opened up at least a half day on Sundays that I used spend watching.  Now it's spent hunting, fishing or doing something outdoors when there is less folks around.  Love it.  I would imagine superbowl Sunday will be even better because it draws even people that don't like football to watch.

Tight lines

Heck yeah man.  Get after it and post up some photos of your limit.  Nobody cares about Brady Bowl whatever it is.
Pain is temporary, achieving the goal is worth it.

A game warden friend caught and arrested a guy for poaching two elk during half time of the Super Bowl, poacher didn't think any GWs would be working during Super Bowl.  I think one of his all time favorite arrests.
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.

I haven't watched the Super Bowl since 1999, so I suppose fishing is a great idea, though the Columbia?  What's really biting on the river?  I've never once snagged a trout on the river.  I fish downstream of the Bonneville though, maybe that's why?  Anything at all biting between Bonneville and Longview at all?  I also don't have a boat.

:chuckle: That is awesome.  I love the criminal mind sometimes.

If Marcia is short for "Maureen", then yes Tom is Marcia's brother.

Take pics and don’t forget to give a fish report!

Good luck!

Good luck fishing!

Anything, including shoveling 500 pounds of chicken manure out of my coop would be more productive than watching the Superbowl.
