Awesome video thanks for sharing! 9 of us put 246 tuna on the boat by 3 pm and that captain said that was the best fishing he has ever seen. We were using rod and reel. the core strength those guys were using with those poles is amazing. Some of those tuna were huge

Video might be from boats out of San Diego fishing for Starkist, possibly near the Galapagos Islands. Friend of mine's Dad captained one of them and it's called "over the rail" fishing. They use a special type of bamboo that is found in a small area of Japan. Some of the fish are so large that they require 2 or 3 poles to hoist them onto the boat. They would fill those boats so full that they would sometimes have to motor home at slow speeds and some of the boats have sunk due to the weight of the load.

Out of Port Lincoln, southern Australia. Didn't recognize it so I looked it up. Looks like a pretty substantial tuna port.
