Bull elk on cam
« on: June 25, 2019, 10:17:02 PM »

This is the first season I'm going to be trying for an elk - but I've got to say - that big one seems ... big. Maybe they all do. But I wasn't expecting to see one that size this time of year.

Is that a west-side unit?
Or an "any bull"?
If so, good luck!
That is DEFINATELY a nice bull.

Westside. Legal to take (if he's anywhere near there come September).

Out of curiosity, how much more growth do you think he'll have between now and when he sheds his velvet in August?

In looking closely at his antlers, it looks like he's 7 on his left, but an 8th point is looking to break out on his right. How unusual is that?

Pain is temporary, achieving the goal is worth it.

I didn't say it would be easy, I said it would be worth it.
